The first MOT test for a vehicle is required when it’s three years old, and thereafter annually, to check that vehicles meet road safety and environmental standards.
We can carry out pre-checks to eliminate any obvious reason why your car may fail.The MOT looks at some important items on your car to see that they meet key legal requirements at the time of test, such as the body and vehicle structure, exhaust emissions, brakes, tyres and wheels, lights, steering and suspension along with several other checks.
Retests are free within 10 working days. If your car fails, we will quote you on any work that needs doing, you can complete the work elsewhere and bring your car back to be retested, or leave it with us and most things can be fixed the same day.
MOT’s typically take 45 minutes to complete, you can wait in our garage or drop it off and leave it with us, and we will call you when it’s ready.
